The Humane Society for Companion Animals:

The Humane Society for Companion Animals is an independent nonprofit organization that is not part of any government agency or national humane association.

The Humane Society for Companion Animals provides investigation services throughout Minnesota. Primary areas of coverage include Ramsey, Washington and Dakota counties. Society implements Animal's Investigation program, which aims to prevent animal neglect, cruelty and abuse by investigating complaints, providing training to local law enforcement agencies related to State animal welfare statutes and by improving State animal welfare statutes.

HSCA shelter nearly 9,000 homeless animals each year. On any given day, 200 to 400 animals are available for adoption. Animals range from dogs and cats (including many purebreds) to guinea pigs and rabbits. In addition, shelter animals are available for adoption at various off-site locations, such as veterinary clinics and PETsMART Luv-A-Pet Centers.
